Why I Want to Serve on the Board:
Many residents of Little Lake have encouraged me to run for a position on this board. Their support stems from my experience in business as well as my tenure as commodore of the Appleton Yacht Club. These roles have prepared me with the leadership and organizational skills necessary to contribute effectively to the board’s mission
Skills and Experience I’ll Bring:
My background in business, combined with my experience leading divisions within three separate non-profit organizations, has equipped me with a valuable skill set to help make the Lake association successful. Having boated on these waters throughout my life, I have developed a deep appreciation for Little Lake, further strengthened by my family’s longstanding ownership of property on its shoreline. Additionally, I possess extensive knowledge of local challenges such as invasive species and PCB clean-up efforts. My familiarity with various recreational and environmental groups positions me to collaborate with the entities necessary to enhance lake quality and increase its usage for all residents.

Why I Want to Serve on the Board:
The Lake is a valuable asset to our community and can be enjoyed by all, we need an association to help preserve and protect it. Since purchasing a home on Little Lake nine years ago, I have consistently tried to help better the use of the lake and would like to continue to do so. This Lake is a very good fishery and want to help it get even better. Enjoy seeing things get done for the betterment of the community, that is why I have already spent many hours to get us this far and would like to keep it going!
Skills and Experience I’ll Bring:
Have attended meetings of Fox Wolf Watershed and Army Corp of Engineers to gain a better understanding of the changing lake levels and by making contacts at those meetings, they now send emails warning of upcoming lake level changes to a large number of us.
In attending every Lake Association Planning meeting have helped with the structure of the association and the drafting of bylaws.
By owning and operating a local advertising company for 30+ years have worked with many small businesses in the area and was able to have our posters designed and printed.
Served on the Board of Directors and numerous committees for a national advertising franchisee association, where I learned how to work with many different types of people to accomplish the main goal of making a better association.

Why I Want to Serve on the Board:
I grew up on Lake Winnebago. My wife and I have lived on Little Lake Buttes des Morts for over 25 years. In that time we have seen many changes. The water quality has greatly improved and more opportunities for recreational activities have been developed. However, there are still many issues to be resolved. Water level control, erosion, and algae are some primary concerns. I want to be proactive rather than reactive solving issues and ensuring future generations can enjoy the waterway. All property owners and users need to have a voice and communication.
Skills and Experience I’ll Bring:
I have previously served on both the Menasha school board and CESA 6 Board of Control. I have dealt with local, state and national representatives. I am a local business owner.

Why I Want to Serve on the Board:
I want to serve on the LLBDM Board to be a good steward for our community and protect the quality of our waterways. As a Doty Island resident and Menasha Park & Recreation Board member, I’m passionate about taking care of our lakes and the recreational opportunities they provide. Though not a lakefront owner, I believe our lakes are a resource for everyone and am committed to ensuring they remain vibrant, accessible, and well cared for into the future.
Skills and Experience I’ll Bring:
I bring strong community connections from years of involvement with local organizations, including the Menasha Park & Recreation Board and Doty Island Development Council. My strengths in engagement, communication, and strategic planning help me connect people and resources for our community’s benefit. I’ve also stepped up as a facilitator in organizing this association, showing initiative and commitment. While I’m still building knowledge of LLBDM-specific issues, I am organized, adaptable, and eager to learn and contribute to the board’s mission and the quality of our waterways.

Why I Want to Serve on the Board:
I live on the Fox River, across from the Appleton Yacht Club and I’ll be building on my land right next to the Menasha Lock. I spend most of my life around the water and care deeply about what happens to it. I wasn’t looking to join the board, but when asked, I’m willing to help. If I commit, I’ll give it my full attention and effort, because these lakes and rivers matter to all of us.
Skills and Experience I’ll Bring:
My perspective comes from living on and using the water every day. I understand the challenges with access, water levels, and the balance between recreation and preservation. I don’t have an agenda—just a desire to keep things fair, practical, and sustainable for everyone who enjoys and depends on these waterways.
