After months of community meetings and water quality studies, we’re at a pivotal moment for Little Lake Butte Des Morts. We need your input, your ideas, and potentially your involvement as we chart the path forward for organized lake stewardship.
What’s Happening Tuesday Night
When: Tuesday, August 19th at 6:30 PM
Where: Neenah Public Library – Shattuck Community Room
Address: 240 E Wisconsin Avenue, Neenah
This is not a formation meeting where we’ll be voting on final decisions. Instead, think of it as a community update and recruiting session. We’ll be sharing where we stand, what we’ve learned, and most importantly—asking for your help.
Why We Need You There
To Get the Latest Information
- Current status of lake association planning
- What we’ve accomplished so far
- Challenges we’re facing and how to address them

- What concerns do you have about this process?
- How can we make sure this effort represents the entire community?
To Consider Getting Involved
We’re actively looking for more people to join our organizing committee. Whether you have an hour a month or more time to contribute, we need:
- People passionate about water quality
- Residents with different skills and perspectives
- Neighbors willing to help spread the word
The Real Story
Here’s what’s actually happening: Our small organizing committee needs to grow. The passionate volunteers who’ve been working on this recognize that to be truly successful, we need broader community participation in the planning process itself.
We’re not rushing to form an organization just to check boxes. We’re taking the time to build it right with solid community input and involvement.

This Is Your Chance
If you’ve been following along but haven’t gotten involved, Tuesday night is your opportunity. If you’ve had questions or concerns, this is when to raise them. If you think we’re missing important voices or perspectives, help us identify who else should be part of this conversation.
We’re Not in a Rush
One thing we’ve learned: true momentum comes from building a solid foundation, not speed. We’d rather take the time to do this right, with genuine community support and involvement, than rush into something that doesn’t truly represent our lake communities.
The Bigger Picture
Little Lake Butte Des Morts spans multiple municipalities and serves thousands of residents. For organized stewardship to work, it needs to reflect that diversity of communities, perspectives, and interests.
That’s why we need you at this meeting.
